You are at the personal site of Andrew Griffiths; a freelance musical director, musician and composer.
Andrew has nearly ten years of experience working in the musical theatre, firstly as repetiteur and subsequently as musical director. His work on a recent production of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd was described as "outstanding" by the local press, and now works on touring productions.
Andrew is also a composer, and has had work performed in workshop by the BBC Singers, Apollo Saxophone Quartet, and was commissioned to write a piece for the opening of the new Oxford Road Wing of the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where it was performed by the RNCM Concert Orchestra.
Andrew is currently helping with music preparation on Tim Firth's brand new musical comedy This Is My Family, currently in rehearsals at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield. Directed by Daniel Evans with Musical Direction by Caroline Humphris, the show opens in the Crucible Studio on Wednesday 19th June.

Andrew has been commissioned by the Manx Heritage Foundation to write a selection of new songs based on the poetry of Mona Douglas. The songs will be premiered by mezzo-soprano Mandy Griffin in early 2014 as part of Island of Culture.
